    Turning point: Rick Ash retires, Kailey Smith joins Camden Hills

    Rick Ash, retiring from Camden Hills Regional High School after 21 years as technical theater director and a 40-year career in teaching, is leaving the program in good hands with new hire Kailey Smith and his long-time counterpart Tom Heath. Ash and Smith have both served on the Maine Drama Council and been involved for years with the One-Act festival, a state-wide high school theater competition in its 89th year.
