Alison Johanson's technical theatre students perform Nov. 12, 13, 19 and 20 at 7 p.m., and Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $8 for adults and $6 for senior citizens and children.

Turning point: Rick Ash retires, Kailey Smith joins Camden Hills

Rick Ash, retiring from Camden Hills Regional High School after 21 years as technical theater director and a 40-year career in teaching, is leaving the program in good hands with new hire Kailey Smith and his long-time counterpart Tom Heath. Ash and Smith have both served on the Maine Drama Council and been involved for years with the One-Act festival, a state-wide high school theater competition in its 89th year.
