BRUNSWICK — High school indoor track athletes from Belfast, Oceanside of Rockland, Medomak Valley of Waldoboro capped their regular seasons over the weekend with final Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference meets at Bowdoin College as the Lions, Mariners and Panthers begin to focus on postseason events — namely, league and state championship meets.
The Lions competed on Friday, Jan. 27 and the Panthers and Mariners on Saturday, Jan. 28 at Bowdoin College.
For qualifiers, the league championships are Friday, Feb. 10 at 6:15 at Bowdoin, while the state championships are on Monday, Feb. 20 at noon at Bates College in Lewiston.
The girls team scores were: Brunswick 155, Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield 125, Lincoln Academy of Newcastle 69, Oceanside 29, Nokomis of Newport 26, Erskine Academy of South China 24, Messalonskee of Oakland 19 and Skowhegan 10.
The boys team scores were: Brunswick 149, Maine Central Institute 69.5, Medomak Valley 67, Nokomis 51, Lincoln Academy 48, Skowhegan 40, Messalonskee 25.5, Erskine Academy 9 and Oceanside 3.
The Oceanside girls individual results were:
