Zoom with Vose hosts elemental design instruments with Doble

Apr 22, 2021

Union — Join Wednesday, May 5, from 6 to 7 p.m., as Jim Doble discusses his hand crafted instruments, sound therapy and the effect of sound and vibration.

Jim Doble has been creating mostly percussive musical instruments out of a disparate collection of materials such as wood, steel, glass, aluminum and stone for about 35 years.

In recent years, Doble has been focusing most of his instrument building to designs suitable for public spaces such as playgrounds, children's museums and the like. Wishing further to delve into the intricacies of sound and vibration, he has also entered into the evolving realm of sound therapy: using sound and vibration to help stimulate health and personal evolution.

Doble currently offers individual sound therapy sessions and group sound "baths," as well as continuing to create a wide variety of musical instruments.
