Waterville — After solid recent hardwood success — especially for the regional and state champion girls program — youth has been served and rebuilding has begun for the Vinalhaven high school basketball teams.

That was evident on Saturday, Dec. 29 as the Vikings took a trip across water and land to play at Temple Academy.

In the girls game, the host Bereans prevailed 54-19, while in the boys contest, Temple won 52-35.

The young, regrouping Vinalhaven teams have combined to notch one win in 15 games this season.
