Rockland — On Saturday, March 8 the Coastal Children’s Museum will be hosting children’s yoga with Jessica Shepard from 11 to 11:30 a.m.

Shepard is a graduate of ShivaShakti School of Yoga & Healing Arts. She is a practitioner of Mindful Life Yoga for Kids, and will soon complete her training in Grounded: Yoga, Laughter, Elevation to become a Children’s Registered Yoga Teacher.

Her love for teaching children came when she filled in for an after school yoga program and immediately saw the benefits that yoga had on teens. After seeing how quick and profound a difference yoga made, she began to offer classes to younger children — aged 2 years and up at yoga studios, libraries, workshops and community centers and works with parents and children together. Feeling blessed that her journey has brought her to children, she now shares this joy with adults, teaching them the skills they need so they can help young people become healthy, happy, and grounded yogi(ni)s.

This workshop is included in the price of admission and free for museum members. Space is limited so sign up today. To sign up please email the museum at 596-0300 or email
