YMCA offers discounts for donations

Jan 05, 2021
Mike Ferland of the YMCA, left, presents some of the coats collected to development director, Becca Gildred to make sure they could get distributed before the first snow.

Rockport — The Penobscot Bay and Rockland Harbor YMCA membership drive will benefit kids who need coats at Knox County Homeless Coalition. Individuals have the opportunity to save money and keep kids warm when they donate winter gear at their local YMCAs.

With a donation of youth-sized winter jackets, boots, snow pants, or hats and mittens/gloves, the Y will give new members an extra month free with their paid three- or six-month specially priced winter package. The membership drive promotion is ongoing through Jan. 31. Visit or call 207-236-3375 for details.
