WRFR to be off air for short time

Jul 31, 2020

Rockland — WRFR will be off the air for the next few days as the non-profit community radio station awaits the arrival of a new transmitter.

Joseph Steinberger said this is the first time the radio station has been off the air for nearly 18 years. The transmitter is the original one acquired when the low-power station started.

The transmitter has been ordered and is expected to be shipped Aug. 3, arriving within a few days from then.

The station is 99.3 in Rockland and 99.3 in Camden.

Oopsy! Still Streaming on the Internet? My station has the same problem. My transmitter was used and it died. Still streaming though. New one still being funded here. Good luck!
