7 - 8 p.m. “Built for Comfort,” with Kirk & Leif- who spin a collection of toe-tappin’, dance makin’, sometimes head bangin’, jamming music that has a groove. A flow of some bluesy, some rock, some jazz, some crappy 80’s music, dance & disco, groovy jams, & one Zappa per show.

Kyle plays only vinyl records from his extensive collection, broadcasting LIVE! With turn tables spinning, he travels back in time, “letting the tone arm gently ride the groove.”

TONIGHT on "The Vinyl Hour"   - A soulful night, featuring Brook Benton, Nancy Wilson, Lou Rawls and more! tune in you won't be disappointed!

10 p.m. – 12 a.m. “Late Night Groove with Bruce Swan. Join Bruce as he explores and introduces you to new singers, songwriters and bands that you may not have heard of…or maybe…you have!

*There’s a new segment that will begin airing Sunday, March 17 at 10:00 p.m.

The segment of the Late Night Groove will be called, “The Side Show.”

It will be at the beginning of each weekly program and feature half a new cd (or one side of a vinyl album) and an interview with the artist at the beginning of each half of the record. The idea stems from the way music was often presented on FM radio in the 1970's. I grew up with this format of programming and miss it, the segment will endeavor to bring the best part of the last century to this century.

The initial episode will air this Sunday at 10:00 p.m. on WRFR and feature an interview with Austin TX based singer / songwriter Danny Schmidt,  and his new record STANDARD DEVIATION. A ten song cd will be played in it's entirety without interruption in two segments with artists permission.

Future scheduled artists include Peter Mulvey, Dave Gunning, and Patty Larkin.

I am hopeful that the listeners of  “The Late Night Groove,”  a long running Sunday night radio program founded by Kyle Swan will enjoy this throwback to rock radio of yore.

Many thanks.

Bruce Swan, Programmer

and…“World in Song,” the great music plays on…
