Wotton Cup, women's play on tap at RGC

Father, son combine to win tournament

Rockland — As fall moves in, Rockland Golf Club remains busy with recent events.

On Thursday, Oct. 6, in a women's association beat the assistant pro (Kyle Durkee, who shot 40 gross for nine holes), golfers used their net scores. Those who "beat the pro" were Janice Ogier at 34, Sue Wootton 35, Cathy Hannemann 36, Diane Bryant 36, Arlene Adams 37 and Joan Hall 39.

The pin winner was: Sue Wootton 12-9 on the ninth hole.

The longest made putt was by Madolin Fogarty at 6-9 on the ninth.

On Monday, Oct. 3, in Wotton Cup action, Kevin LaBree and Jeremiah LaBree finished as champions and Charlie Page and Dick Crossman runners-up.

On Thursday, Sept. 29, in women's association play, a gross/nets/putts event, Arlene Adams finished first gross 100; Wendy Dewing, second gross 104; Diane Bryant, first net 70; and Joni Hall, second net 71. Arlene Adams finished with the fewest putts at 32.

The pin winners were: Karen Hardy, 27-4 on the 10th hole; and Arlene Adams, 9-4 on the 18th.
