Worthington Scholars start local Zumba classes

Two entrepreneurial Worthington Scholars have returned to the area to work and teach Zumba classes.

James Nguyen is a rising junior at the University of Southern Maine, majoring in exercise science. A certified Zumba instructor, he currently teaches in Westbrook and will also offer personal training services at Mid-Coast Gym in Rockland.

Kelsey Lawry, a rising sophomore majoring in health sciences at USM, will be working as a personal support specialist for Home Care for Maine.

Together they are instructing Zumba classes in Rockland and St. George as “Zumba Fitness with James and Kelsey.”

They hold classes Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. at 47 Main Street Studio in St. George, and twice weekly at Lincoln Street Center Auditorium in Rockland: Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and Mondays at 6 p.m.

Fees are $10 to drop in, $5 for college students and those under 18, $40 for a five-class pass, and $70 for a 10-class pass. For more information, visit their Zumba Fitness with James and Kelsey Facebook page.
