Appleton — Work on an $11,000 upgrade of the wooden bridge deck on a culvert on Peasetown Road was scheduled to begin Nov. 19, according to Select Board Chair John Fenner.

The wood was starting to deteriorate and needed to be replaced. The project will repair the 20-foot-long, 16-foot-wide bridge deck located in a wooded area. Fenner said this is a town project.

Select Board member Charles Garrigan donated his time and expertise in helping make the CAD drawings for the bridge project.
