Winter storm causes closings, delays

Source: Tyler Southard Vilage Soup meteorologist Tyler Southard predicts 6 to 10 inches of snow for the Midcoast from the Feb. 12-13 storm.

The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Storm Warning from 7 p.m. Feb. 12 through 10 a.m. Feb. 13, with 4 to 8 inches of snow and sleet predicted for the Midcoast.

The following weather-related announcements have been received:

The Feb. 12 Odeon Chamber Orchestra concert in Rockport has been postponed to Feb. 26.

The Feb. 12 Free Music Jam in Thomaston has been canceled.

The Feb. 13 Soup's On Lunch at First Congregational Church of Camden has been canceled.

The Feb. 13 Music at Noon concert at the Farnsworth is postponed to March 13.

The Feb. 13 talk by Diane O'Brien at Lincolnville Community Library is postponed to Feb. 18.

The Feb. 13 talk by Christopher Glass in Thomaston is postponed to March 13.

Feb. 13, Mid-Coast Solid Waste will have a two-hour delay to open.

Feb. 13, Lincolnville Town Office will open at noon.

Feb. 13, Owls Head Town Office will be closed.

Feb. 13, UPDATE: Rockport Town Office and Library will open at noon, not 10 a.m.

The Feb. 13 Rockland Elks BINGO has been canceled.

State offices will open at 11 a.m. Feb. 13.
