Dirigo Learning will offer a program titled "How Do Birds Survive in Winter?" at the Vose Library, 392 Common Road, Union. The program is free and suitable for families.

While many Maine birds migrate south during the winter months, there are many hardy species that overwinter locally. The workshop, led by Dirigo Learning founder Robin Huntley, will teach participants how to identify some of the food sources that local birds rely on in late winter. Families will spend time in nature, using the library’s small nature trail and wooded area as an outdoor classroom. Registration requested at librarian@voselibrary.org or 785-4733.
