Winning ways continue for strong Windjammer mat athletes

Camden Hills 13-3 in dual-matches this season

Bath — Whether by the skin of its teeth or by significant margin, it was all good for the Camden Hills wrestling team in a high school regular-season tri-meet on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at Morse.

The Windjammers edged the host Shipbuilders by a narrow 40-39 margin and also bested Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield 54-13.

The individual Camden Hills results, with Windjammers listed first, were:

106 pounds — Eric Andrews pinned Colby Currier, MCI, at 1:03; and won by forfeit over Morse.

113 pounds — Devin Hutcheson pinned Tyler Baker, MCI, at 3:53; and pinned Connor McNish, Mor, at 0:56.

120 pounds — Joshua Saucier won by forfeit over MCI; and was pinned by Micailah Albertson, Mor, at 3:13.

126 pounds — Dawson Allen lost to Zyanthony Moss, MCI, 13-5; and lost to Ben Brewer, Mor, 14-11.

132 pounds — Ian Henderson won by forfeit over MCI; and pinned Gaige Kindlimann, Mor, at 3:56.

138 pounds — Nikita Perevalov lost to Cole Steeves, MCI, 7-1.

145 pounds — Noah Lang pinned an MCI wrestler (name unavailable) at 0:20. Perevalov won by forfeit over Morse.

152 pounds — Caleb Hendrick pinned Trenton Basford, MCI, at 1:59. Lang beat Isaiah Cogswell, Mor, 14-1.

160 pounds — Hendrick won by forfeit over Morse.

170 pounds — Alex Vokey won by forfeit over MCI.

182 pounds — Vokey won by forfeit over Morse.

220 pounds — Justin Secotte won by forfeit over MCI; and was pinned Jayce Martin, Mor, at 1:27.

285 pounds — Ben MacWilliams pinned Kahlden Briggs, MCI, at 0:38; and was pinned by Hayden Thompson, Mor, at 3:27.
