Windjammers keep impressive season going, sweep new year tri-meet

Camden Hills beats host Lincoln Academy, Oxford Hills of Paris

Newcastle — The number in the win column continues to climb for the Camden Hills wrestling team, as the Windjammers took care of business in their first high school dual-matches of 2019.

Camden Hills dispatched host Lincoln Academy of Newcastle 76-6 and Oxford Hills of South Paris 60-22 on Wednesday, Jan. 2, as the Windjammers improved their dual-match record to 11-3.

The individual results, with Windjammer wrestlers listed first, were:

106 pounds — Eric Andrews won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy; and pinned Jared Bellemare, OxH.

113 pounds — Devin Hutcheson won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy; and pinned Jayda Stevens, OxH.

120 pounds — Josh Saucier won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy; and pinned Caleb Evans, OxH.

126 pounds — Kristina Kelly won by major decision over Avery Redonnett, LA; and won by forfeit over Oxford Hills.

132 pounds — Dawson Allen pinned Adelaide Mullin, LA; and pinned Caleb Johnson, OxH.

138 pounds — Ian Henderson pinned Anh Minh Nguyen, LA. Joah Thompson was pinned by Cameron Strout, OxH.

145 pounds — Noah Lang pinned Bao Le, LA. Ian Henderson won by forfeit over Oxford Hills.

152 pounds — Drew Kelly pinned Tobias Seidel, LA. Noah Lang pinned Dillon Worster, OxH.

170 pounds — Henry Pharris pinned Lucas Steinberger, LA; and pinned Bristol Leahy, OxH.

182 pounds — Justin Secotte pinned Lucas Kelsey, LA; and was pinned by Cole Dunham, OxH.

195 pounds — Kai Sassa won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy; and lost by major decision to Travis May, OxH.

220 pounds — Max Dingle won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy; and was pinned by Jeffrey Worster, OxH.

285 pounds — Ben MacWilliams won by forfeit over Lincoln Academy and Oxford Hills.
