Windjammer Nordic skiers back on trail for second time
Gill, Hildreth earn top-five finishes for second-place girlsParis — The Camden Hills Nordic ski team hit the trails for the second time this season on Saturday, Feb. 13, as the Windjammer girls nabbed a second-place finish and boys fourth.
The Leavitt of Turner girls finished first among four competing high school squads at Sunny Croft Farm, while the Edward Little of Auburn boys placed first among six teams.
The boys team scores were: Edward Little 791, Leavitt 775, Oxford Hills of South Paris 737, Camden Hills 721, Spruce Mountain of Jay 529 and Dirigo of Dixfield 497.
The girls team scores were: Leavitt 786, Camden Hills 778, Edward Little 764 and Dirigo 180.
The individual Camden Hills results included:
Boys — 13, Wilson Gray, 15:39; 21, Ian Orsmond, 16:28; 22, Elias Porter, 16:33; and 33, Soren Beckstrom, 19:38.
Girls — 3, Allison Gill, 17:40; 5, Elsie Hildreth, 18:29; 8, Alley Johnson, 19:56; 10, Lillian Nelson, 20:07; 14, Delia Cognard, 22:06; 16, Abigail Harrison, 23:33; 17, Julianna Day, 25:20; and 20, Mae Dostie, 25:35.
