Rockport — The Camden Hills Regional High School boys jayvee basketball squad had its typically-strong season on the court, which likely will translate to continued success at the varsity ranks in the coming years.

Led by coach Paul MacDonald, the Windjammers sported an 11-5 record and proved to be a top-tier team among Midcoast subvarsity squads.

Team members included Dalton Oakes, Jack Gallagher, Josiah Krul, Eamon Samojla, Ryan Pierce, Michael Wolff, Will Barrows, Cam Gushee, Nick Denny, Casey Gilman, Field Leonard and Cody Heal.

MacDonald said all the team's games were close, with opponents separated by single-digits, which “made games even more fun and exciting for players and fans.”

The veteran coach said his team featured a “great bunch of young student-athletes [and] I look forward to seeing them play next season.”

MacDonald said the towns in the Camden Hills system appear to have good feeder programs, the parent support was strong and positive, the players displayed respect for themselves as well as others and observed good sportsmanship throughout the season.
