Wildlife Rehabilitation

Horse & Hound Veterinary Services offers FREE veterinary care to orphaned, injured or sick wildlife species. We accept coyote, fox, bobcat, fisher, marten, raccoon, skunk, squirrels, weasels, mink, otter, beaver, muskrat, opossum, porcupine, deer, and turtles. All bird species should be taken to Avian Haven in Freedom, Maine. NEVER pick up an injured wild animal with bare hands! Wearing gloves - use a broom or shovel to push the injured wildlife into a sturdy box or plastic tub. Seal to container to prevent escape. For more information or directions to our clinic in Thomaston, Maine, please call 557-5669.
