West Bay Rotary meal-packing event seeks volunteers

West Bay Rotary needs 75 volunteers to help with its meal-packing event.

Camden — West Bay Rotary is partnering with the non-profit organization Meals of Hope, from Naples, Fla., to host a meal-packing event and the Rotary is inviting the public to help. Volunteers will pack up to 25,000 packages of meals for families in need in the Midcoast area. These will be distributed to local food pantries. The event will take place on Oct. 26, at the Elks Lodge, 210 Rankin St., Rockland from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The cost of each meal is about 25 cents. Donations can be made to the club’s charitable foundation to help cover the cost of these meals.
