West Bay Rotary announces Chowder Challenge winners

The West Bay Rotary Chowder Challenge took place Aug. 31at the Camden Windjammer Festival.

Camden — The winners of the 2019 West Bay Rotary Chowder Challenge are, first place: Graffam Bros. Seafood Market; second place: Wave Cafe at Camden Hills Regional High School and third place: The Waterfront Restaurant. The event was held Saturday, Aug. 31at the Camden Windjammer Festival.

Other participants this year were Quarry Hill, Sea Dog, Lobster Pound and French & Brawn. West Bay Rotary offers the Chowder Challenge each year during the Camden Windjammer Festival to raise money that will benefit non-profits and charitable organizations.

Twice a year, West Bay Rotary Club, through its charitable foundation, provides financial support to organizations that work to improve the lives of people in Knox County and the Town of Lincolnville. Applications are available on the website at westbayrotaryofmaine.org. The next application deadline is October 1.
