‘Weathering Shame’ authors speak

Jun 16, 2017

Thomaston — Thomaston Public Library will host an evening with Kevin Mannix and Linda Rota, sharing their book “Weathering Shame,” Tuesday, June 27, at 7 p.m.

Mannix, one of Maine's most popular weathermen; and his wife, Linda Rota, a prominent social worker, have co-written this book dealing with their experiences as adult children of alcoholics, depression and even suicide. Their goal is to share their stories and to let their readers know that one can survive trauma and emerge a more compassionate, self-aware adult … and to advance the hope that we are never alone.

This program is open to the public without charge. Autographed copies of "Weathering Shame" will be available for purchase that evening (cash/check).

Thomaston Public Library is located in the historic Thomaston Academy building at 60 Main St./Route 1. There is parking and elevator access behind the building, off Gleason Street. For more information, call 354-2453.
