Wall aces ninth, women, men tee up at RGC

Rockland — The following is news from the Rockland Golf Club:

On Tuesday, July 21, Butch Wall recorded a hole-in-one when he knocked his tee shot on the 216-yard ninth hole in the cup. He used a driver for the shot, which was witnessed by David Stevens. It was Wall's fourth career ace.

On Sunday, July 26 in men's team points play, Jason Willis, Tom Quantrell and Hank Read finished first at +1. The pin winner was: Tom Quantrell, 30-1.5 on the 10th hole.

On Saturday July 25, in men's individual points play, Mer Doucette finished first at +6; Scot Arsenault, second at +2; Dan Edleman, third at even; and Mark Curtis, fourth at -1. The pin winner was: Peter Stuart 28-1 on the 18th.

On Thursday, July 23, in women's association Athleen McRae Memorial Tournament individual net play, Molly Mugler and Kathy Macpherson finished tied for first at 73; Joanna Schleif, third at 74; Madolin Fogarty and Kate Hewlett, tied for fourth at 75; and Kathy Harper, sixth at 76.

The pin winners were: Diana Bryant on the fifth hole; Heidi Lyman on the 10th; and Kate Hewlett on the 18th.
