Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 118 calls for service between June 12 and June 19, and reported the following incidents:

June 12

Officer Jeffery Fuller arrested Stephen Benner, 30, of Nobleboro, for violation of a protection order.

Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a crash on Atlantic Highway at 3:54 p.m. Thomas Bundza, 66, of Greencastle, Ind., was driving south making a right turn into a business on a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle when damage from an earlier accident caused him to crash. Injury codes were listed for him and passenger Judith Bundza.

June 13

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report from Moose Crossing that someone stole two bags of soil (value $70).

Officer Justin Hills arrested Matthew Woods, 52, of Waldoboro, for operating under the influence and aggravated reckless conduct.

June 14

Hesseltine investigated a crash on Winslows Mills Road at 3:15 p.m. Steven Rackliff, 57, of Waldoboro, was headed south in a 1999 Ford pickup truck driving too fast for conditions when the vehicle hydroplaned and left the roadway on the right, hitting a tree stump and flipping end over end, coming to rest on its roof. Injury codes were listed for Rackliff and passenger Taylour Daniello.

June 15

Fuller investigated a report of the theft of a lock box safe from a truck.

Fuller investigated a report from the Big Apple of the theft of a cup of coffee for the second time by the same person.

June 19

Hesseltine investigated a report of the theft of a dirt bike from a front lawn.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
