Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 171 calls for service between Oct. 25 and Nov. 6. Below are a few of the highlights.

Oct. 26

Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a crash on Washington Road at 10:55 p.m. Danielle Whitehill, 25, of Appleton, was northbound in a 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck when a tree fell on the vehicle while it was in motion, causing damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Oct. 28

Bartunek arrested Davis Crowell, 26, of Waldoboro, for aggravated reckless conduct, terrorizing and violation of conditional release.

Oct. 30

Bartunek investigated a crash on Ice House Road at 6:04 p.m. Richard Maguire, 52, of Waldoboro, was eastbound, backing up in a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck when he backed into a tree, causing damage to vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Officer John Lash arrested Joseph Richards, 34, of Waldoboro, for assault.

Oct. 31

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report from Tucker Chevrolet of the theft of a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu.

Nov. 2

Officer William Bragg summoned Jeremy Griffin, 27, of Waldoboro, for harvesting clams without a town license.

Bartunek arrested Logan Robitaille, 22, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Nov. 3

Hesseltine investigated a report of criminal mischief done to a vehicle.

Nov. 5

Hesseltine investigated a crash on Old Augusta Road at 12:30 a.m. Tristan Bissett, 21, of Waldoboro, was westbound in a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck, spinning its tires when it left the road on the left side and struck a guardrail. No injuries were reported.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
