Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 95 calls for service between Sept. 26 and Oct. 2. Below are a few of the highlights.

Sept. 26

Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated a report of a break-in and theft of speakers ($100 value).

Hesseltine investigated a crash at the intersection of Jefferson Street, Depot Street, and Atlantic Highway at 12:28 p.m. Lewis Gower, 73, of Dresden, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Atlantic Highway when he was struck as David Tenney, 79, of Waldoboro, was starting in traffic southbound and failed to yield the right of way in a 2008 GMC pickup truck. Grower was injured.

Sept. 27

Hesseltine summoned Maitland Williams, 35, of Bremen, for operating after suspension, attaching false plates and failure to show proof of insurance.

Officer Tom Bartunek investigated a crash on Washington Road at 7:13 p.m. Jeannine Jameson, 58, of Waldoboro, was southbound in a 2001 Chrysler sedan when a deer ran out in front of her, and she was unable to avoid hitting it.

Sept. 29

Officer Chris Spear summoned a 16-year-old juvenile from Union, for operation beyond limits.

Sept. 30

Officer Andrew Santheson arrested Denise Bizer, 50, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Oct. 1

Spear summoned Krystal Roock, 28, of Waldoboro, for criminal mischief.

Oct. 2

Hesseltine summoned Joel Winchenbach, 33, of Waldoboro, for uninspected motor vehicle and failure to show proof of insurance.

Hesseltine summoned Roy Elliott, 49, of Waldoboro, for operating after suspension.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
