Waldoboro — Waldoboro police officers responded to 128 calls for service between Sept. 19 and Sept.25. Below are a few of the highlights.

Sept. 19

Officer Larry Hesseltine summoned Michael Prescott, 21, of Washington, for speed.

Hesseltine arrested Stephen Parece, 31, of Waldoboro, on a warrant.

Hesseltine investigated a report of a slashed tire.

Sept. 20

Hesseltine summoned Devin Davis, 30, of Waldoboro, for operating after suspension.

Sept. 21

Sgt. Jamie Wilson investigated a crash on Jefferson Street at 6:31 p.m. Robin Elms, 61, of Camden, was in a driveway in a 2016 Jeep utility vehicle and stated she was going to back out, but still had the vehicle in forward gear and pulled forward instead of backing up, panicked and accelerated instead of braking, strikinga  residential garage, and causing damage. No injuries were reported.

Sept. 22

Hesseltine summoned Roland Sherman, 44, of Dresden, for operating after suspension.

Sept. 23

Chief William Labombarde investigated a report that someone spray-painted the side of a truck.

Officer John Lash summoned Joseph Tynan, 49, of Waldoboro, for operating under the influence.

Sept. 24

Hesseltine summoned Violet Stanley, 49, of Waldoboro, for operating under the influence.

Hesseltine summoned Larry Wellman, 39, of Waldoboro, for operating after suspension and a violation of conditional release.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
