Waldoboro — On Dec. 19, the Waldoboro Lions Club held a pre-Christmas party at Bullwinkle's Restaurant in Waldoboro with several Lions and guests attending.

With a choice of either beef, chicken or haddock, accompanied by a selection of potato or rice pilaf and mixed vegetables and dessert, the Lions and their guests enjoyed a festive occasion.

Following dinner, the Lions exchanged gifts. Some Lions, rather than exchanging a gift, donated a pair of sneakers to students at Miller School.

Kings Lion Tom Jordan reminded the Lions about passing out Christmas baskets at the Waldoboro Town Office on Dec. 22. The activity has been done by the Lions for a number of years.

Ending the evening, the Lions sang several Christmas carols and left the restaurant in a festive mood.
