Visit the Maine Lighthouse Museum on Saturday, September 9th, Maine Open Lighthouse Day!  Admission is just $4 for the day!

The Maine Lighthouse Museum, located at One Park Drive in Rockland overlooking Rockland Harbor and Penobscot Bay is home to the largest collection of lighthouse, life-saving and U.S. Coast Guard artifacts in the nation!

Rockland is an official Coast Guard City and all members of the Coast Guard, active and retired are admitted Free to the museum. Parking is Free in the designated area at the Trade Winds Inn across the street while you are visiting the museum.

The Maine Lighthouse Book Festival with 6 local authors signing their nautical themed books will be happening on this same day from 11 am to 3 pm. "Let us Light your way to a Good Read!"

The museum itself is open Monday-Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
