Virtual poetry reading, art collaboration for Earth Day

Apr 10, 2021

Rockland — The Rockland Public Library presents a poetry reading Thursday, April 22, at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom. This event is free and open to all.

To celebrate Earth Day, the Farnsworth Art Museum asked 20 poets to share a poem that would be paired with a work of art in the museum’s collection on the theme of nature and our connection to the environment. Join several poets from the project as they read their work over Zoom. Then, visit the Farnsworth’s website, farnsworthmuseum.org, on April 22 to see the art that goes with each poem. For more information about the presenting poets, visit tinyurl.com/4hua3vnj.

For a link to the Zoom event, please email elewis@rocklandmaine.gov by 4 p.m. on April 22 and identify the event you are interested in attending in the subject line.
