Bow, N.H. — Virginia Lassonde Sturdee Edelstein, 87, of Bow Center Road, passed away peacefully April 1, 2018, at CRVNA Hospice House.

Virginia was born in Concord, N.H., May 5, 1930, the daughter of Harold J. and Marie P. (Lamotte) Lassonde, who predeceased her. She was educated in Concord, N.H., and South Portland schools. She was manager/buyer for The Tweed Shop in Camden, during the 1950s and '60s and then Hooz's Apparel Shop, Concord, until her retirement. Ginny was well-known for her stylish dress and dazzling smile. She always lit up a room.

She was predeceased by her husband, Irving Edelstein; her beloved son, Scott Sturdee; brother Harold J. Lassonde Jr.; sister Dorothy E. Morong and her husband, Charles.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Danielle Tarbell of Concord, N.H., husband Miles and their children, Chandler, Olivia, Samantha and Knox; Corinne Sturdee of Pembroke, N.H.; and her son, Owen; daughter-in law Tracy Sturdee of Pittsfield, N.H.; special nieces Jeri Holm and her husband, Bill, of Camden and Joan Brouillet of CanterburyN.H.; and several more nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday April 14, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord, NH.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
