Also recognized but unable to attend the event at the Legion on Tuesday, were, Wilbur C "Bill" Weeks, Owls Head, WWII and Korea, and my uncle, Donald H Bergren, Owls Head, WWII Veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor.  They were presented their pins and certificates for their service, at their homes by Lt. Col.  Peter Ogden, Bill Lawry,  and Russ Wolfertz. I would like to thank Russ Wolfertz, Jr. and others involved, for organizing these events and the effort to track these veterans down, and in many cases hand carrying the applications to Augusta and getting the necessary documentation of their service so that they can be honored and remembered in this way.  A true labor or love and respect.  Many, many thanks!
