Veterans honored at annual school assembly

Thomaston — Active and retired veterans were treated to breakfast Nov. 9 at the annual Veteran's Day assembly at Oceanside Middle School.

A handful of veterans enjoyed a breakfast served by the student council prior to being honored with speeches and music by members of the student body.

Veterans Day is an official United States public holiday, observed annually on Nov. 11, that honors military veterans and those currently serving in the military.
