Vehicle strikes utility pole in St. George

St. George — A St. George driver escaped injury Friday night in a car crash in that town.

About 11:15 p.m. May 29, Jesse Spencer, 32, of St. George, was driving south on Route 131 and reportedly fell asleep, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado that Spencer was driving struck a utility pole. Spencer was the only occupant.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Knox Regional Communications, St. George Fire and EMS, Central Maine Power, and Creek Hill Towing.
