United Way offers tips on getting and giving help

Mar 19, 2020

The United Way of Eastern Maine and its partners are working to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic to meet the short term, immediate needs, of individuals and families that will be impacted, as well as the long-term impacts that have yet to be seen.

The phone number 2-1-1 Maine is a free, confidential number that connects people to thousands of health and human services in their community in times of crisis. The Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention and 211 Maine have announced a new option for Mainers to get answers to questions about the 2019 novel coronavirus. This service is available by dialing 211 (or 1-866-811-5695), texting your ZIP code to 898-211, or emailing  info@211maine.org

Donations can be made to the COVID-19 Response Fund for Eastern Maine online at app.mobilecause.com/form/Z2cfvg?vid=62jz4 or by texting EMCovid19Fund to 41444.

To make a donation by check, mail to: United Way of Eastern Maine, 700 Main Street, Suite. 1, Bangor, ME 04401.
