The use of community cookbooks by women in politics will be explored at Union Historical Society's meeting in the Old Town House, 128 Town House Road.

Dr. Rachel Snell, lecturer at the Honors College, University of Maine, will explain how Margaret Chase Smith’s campaign for the Republican nomination relied on food-related tactics developed by generations of politically motivated women.
