The high school unified basketball regular seasons have concluded as Midcoast court teams prepare for the end-of-season activities of their choice.

While the Heal Points are not officially final, squads from Oceanside of Rockland, Mount View of Thorndike, Medomak Valley of Waldoboro and Belfast have played their final regular-season games.

Camden Hills of Rockport also has a team, but the Windjammers play an exhibition schedule.

Watch video and see more photos below.

Teams have the option to compete for a state championship via the Maine Principals’ Association-sanctioned single-elimination tournament, or opt to participate in one of several end-of-season unified basketball festivals.

For four teams that call Knox, Waldo and Lincoln counties home, only Oceanside will compete in the MPA tournament, while Medomak Valley and Mount View will participate in end-of-season unified basketball festivals.

As of Monday, March 4, Oceanside (5-3, 95.8333 points) was sixth, Mount View (4-4, 66.6667 points) 12th, Belfast (3-5, 56.2500 points) 13th and Medomak Valley (2-4, 50.0000 points) 16th. Hampden/Bangor (8-0, 256.2500 points) was first in the 25-team North region. The top 17 teams are playoff-eligible.

However, only six of those 17 teams will participate in the MPA tournament.

Thus, the "final" Heal Points are as follows: No. 1 Hampden Academy/Bangor, No. 2 Madison (7-0, 147.2489 points), No. 3 Bucksport (6-2, 137.5000 points), No. 4 Oceanside, No. 5 Foxcroft Academy of Dover-Foxcroft (4-4, 68.7500 points) and No. 6 Carrabec of North Anson (3-3, 38.8889 points)

In a quarterfinal playoff game, No. 4 Oceanside will host No. 5 Foxcroft Academy on Thursday, March 7 at 4 p.m.

Belfast will host Camden Hills, the latter of which is not an MPA-sanctioned team, in an exhibition game — both teams final of the year — on Tuesday, March 5 at 3:30 p.m.

Medomak Valley will participate in an end-of-season jamboree with Brunswick/Mount Ararat of Topsham, Freeport and Yarmouth on Wednesday, March 6 at 3 p.m. in Brunswick.

Mount View will participate in an end-of-season jamboree with Brewer, Ellsworth, Hermon, Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln/Penobscot Valley of Howland, Mount Desert Island, Nokomis of Newport, Old Town and Orono on Saturday, March 9 in Orono.
