Tybee says hi

Jul 09, 2018

Camden — Hi all - Tybee here! If you’re looking for a Best Friend, then I’m your guy!

No, really. I’m the “bestest” Best Friend ever. The nice humans here at P.A.W.S. tell me all the time what a good boy I am. Then they ask me, “Why are you still here, Tybee?” Seems like a strange question to me. How would I know why no one has wanted to take me home? I’ve watched other dogs happily go home with nice families, but no one has wanted me. If I wasn’t such a happy, confident boy, it could really hurt my feelings.

The nice dog trainer human who has been teaching  me to have what the she calls “good manners” and “obedience” and even a little “dog agility,” keeps telling me that I’m the smartest dog here, and that she would love to take me home, herself, if she didn’t have that pesky cat, Mr. Moose. I keep trying to tell her that I could take care of her cat problem for her, but for some reason she wants to continue to be pestered by him, and refuses to let me come home with her and chase him out of there. Humans!

I mean, why wouldn’t someone want me? I’m young and smart and very handsome. I have an education and love both kids and dogs. I have plenty of energy to go hiking or jogging or anything else fun and active. In fact, I go jogging with one of the nice humans here at P.A.W.S. I even jogged up Mt. Battie! I also got to go on the family fun walk at the Paces for PAWS 5K last May. I was up for the 5K, but the human who took me said that she was too out of shape to run that far. Excuses! I even got to go to PAWS Pals Summer Camp and play with all those young humans. I’m definitely the kind of dog who loves to be a part of the family and go places.

So like I said, if you want your best Best Friend ever, come meet me, Tybee, here at P.A.W.S. at 123 John St., in Camden (236-8702). Or if you’d like to fill out an online application, you can go to pawsadoption.org.

Hope to see you soon!
