Waldoboro — Two drivers were transported to local hospitals following a crash on Friendship Road in Waldoboro at 10:20 a.m. Oct. 2.

According to Waldoboro Police Officer Nathaniel Jack, the department responded to a report of a motor vehicle rollover with personal injury near Brookside Cemetery on Route 220.

Jack reported Bonnie N. Robinson, 70, of Friendship, was driving south along Friendship Road in her 2002 Chevy Suburban when she was struck from behind by Marshall Perfetto, 40, also of Friendship, who was driving a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Perfetto's passenger, his 11-month-old son, was not injured.

The police report states Perfetto's vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest upside down in the middle of the roadway. The force of the collision caused Robinson's vehicle to go off the roadway and strike a large tree.

Both Perfetto and Robinson were taken by Waldoboro EMS to local hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries.

Waldoboro Fire Department also assisted with the crash.

The crash is still under investigation, police said.
