Two-artist open studio for Craft Weekend

Oct 06, 2017
Glassworker Fiona Clark and ceramic artist Autumn Cipala will join forces for Maine Craft Weekend.

Thomaston — Artists Autumn Cipala and Fiona Clark invite the public to an open studio during Maine Craft Weekend: Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15. The doors to Cipala’s ceramic studio at 15 Ross Ave. will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day with handmade works on display.

Cipala creates luminous porcelain vessels, using soft, translucent glazes to enhance the clean elegance of form while highlighting the surface embellishment. Clark will be visiting from Firefly Studios of Jefferson with her handmade glass beads and sterling jewelry, as well as works from her new exploration into decorative leaded glass panels.

This event is in conjunction with the Maine Crafts Association’s statewide tour in celebration of American Craft Week. For more information on the almost two dozen participating locations in Midcoast Maine, visit mainecraftweekend.org or the Maine Craft Weekend Facebook page.
