A new Fisher plow is among the items for bid at Trekkers' auction Nov. 4

Thomaston — Trekkers’ 7th Annual Auction will take place Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Silent auction bidding will take place from 5 to 7 p.m., and live auction bidding, with auctioneer Bruce Gamage, begins at 7. Hundreds of items will be up for bid, from gift certificates to local stores to unique travel experiences. There is a $10 admission at the door, which includes beverages, hors d’oeuvres and sweets.

The lead sponsor for the event is Fisher Engineering, with a donation of a new standard in Fisher V-plow performance, the Stainless Steel XV2 V-plow, 8-foot, 6-inch blade width, valued at $8,500. The winning bid for the plow includes the cost of the mounts, controller and harness kit; cost of installation is not included.

The auction will include several unique items: a South Africa Photo Safari; a ride in a 1933 Waco biplane; and more. There will also be gift certificates for island getaways, services, jewelry, outdoor items, restaurants, and more.

The silent auction will feature a wide variety of offerings, from restaurant certificates to design, landscape, gift baskets and memberships at local organizations. Absentee bids are available on the Fisher XV2 V-plow and the South Africa Photo Safari (absentee bid form is posted online).

All auction proceeds benefit the youth mentoring programs of Trekkers.
