Thomaston — The Board of Directors for the Thomaston-South Thomaston-Owls Head Cooperative Transfer Station on Buttermilk Lane has announced changes to its sticker policy.

Instead of purchasing stickers at the Thomaston Town Office, effective the beginning of October residents of the three towns will need to purchase them at the Transfer Station via cash or check.

The 2019-2020 stickers will go on sale on or about Oct. 2 at the same price of $15 for two years.

New also will be that a station attendant will affix the sticker on the inside lower left corner of the front windshield.

With high costs at neighboring facilities, it was felt that too many of the unaffixed stickers were being used by non-residents, according to the board.

Current sticker will expire Dec. 31, 2018.
