Tickets on sale for ‘Women’s Work’

Jul 06, 2017

Northport — The 12th annual Women's Works evening of contemporary dance, titled “center,” is set for the end of the month and tickets are available online at womensworksdance.com; and at Bella Books in Belfast, Zoot in Camden and the Grasshopper Shop in Rockland.

This year’s production will be presented at the Blue Goose Center on Route 1, so space is limited. Tickets are $15, $17 online, and advance purchase is advised. The performances will be Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29 at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, July 30, at 2 p.m.

Women’s Work founder, artistic director and dancer Shanna Bloomstein said the show, which features original choreography by a group of mostly local women, reflects on the interface between birth and death, and as always, the artists “will be intimately sharing our stories and our journeys with honesty and gratitude.”
