THOMASTON, ME:  On June 26 through Wednesday, July 10, Thomaston Place Auction Galleries presents “Vintage Accents”, an online only auction offering a diversity of contemporary and antique pieces that can add the perfect design punctuation to any home or collection – and all items with modest opening bids.  It is being conducted simultaneously on three online auction sites: Thomaston Live, LiveAuctioneers, and Invaluable.

This 339-lot sale includes an incredibly diverse selection of paintings & sculpture, fine furniture, Asian antiques, jewelry, clocks, silver, ephemera, glass & porcelain, folk art, contemporary & antiquarian prints, oriental carpets, and many great decorative pieces.

Highlighted items include: an 18K gold bracelet set with emeralds, a pair of 17th Century French oak armoire fronts converted to bookcases, a set of pegged oak dining chairs with ostrich hide leather upholstery, two fine prints by Kathe Kollowitz (Germany, 1867-1945), a late 19th Century Maine made pond model, an antebellum Matthew Brady cased daguerreotype of a young woman, a 1957 Yankees team signed baseball, a variety of early iron banks, a collection of early majolica tableware, and an original poster from the 1901 Pan American Exposition.

Items to be sold can be viewed online now at any of the three auction websites.  Participants can register and place pre-auction (or absentee) bids from now to the start of the live auction.  When the live auction begins, at 10:00 EST on July 10, registered participants may bid live online as each item comes up for sale.
