Thomaston installs Bicentennial flags

Thomaston — Sandy Moore and Pete Lammert of the Thomaston Select Board installed Maine Bicentennial flags along Main Street March 14. The flags were paid for by the businesses of Main Street.

Maine celebrated the 200th anniversary March 15.

Maine joined the Union as the 23rd state March 15, 1820. It was admitted as a free state under the Missouri Compromise.
