Sylvie and the Deluca brothers hang out on a summer’s day in Francois Truffaut’s classic “Small Change.”

Thomaston — September’s Bless the Children series in Thomaston Public Library’s Friday Night Films series continues Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. in Room 200 of the library, in the historic Thomaston Academy building, 60 Main St./Route 1. Parking, entrance and handicap accessibility are in the rear, off Gleason Street.

On screen will be “Small Change” (1976, France), the classic tribute to the joys, yearnings, pains and wonders of childhood. Acclaimed French director Francois Truffaut weaves his love of children and cinema seamlessly together in this lyrically funny and thoroughly charming film. “Small Change” (L'argent de poche) runs 104 minutes and is rated PG.

This month’s series will conclude Sept. 29 with “The King of Masks” (1996, China/Hong Kong). Friday Night Films are open to the public and free of charge, but donations are gratefully accepted. Light refreshments are served. For more information, call the library at 354-2453.
