Thanks for a Wonderful & Festive Holiday Weekend.

Christmas By the Sea weekend was a team effort involving many people in our area who contribute time and money to help make this event happen. The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the many volunteers and the businesses who sponsored events last weekend. New for this year was that the Camden Downtown Business Group donated funds for the Holiday Tree and the Horse and Carriage Rides. Other event  sponsors include Elm Street Printing & Graphics (brochure sponsor), the Country Inn at Camden-Rockport (opening reception sponsor),  2A Architects (Hat & Mitten Tree at the Library), Owl & Turtle Bookshop (Santa's Story Hour), and The Rig and the First Bancorp which sponsored the photos with Santa.

Santa’s visits were made possible by Pen Bay Oil (West Rockport visit), Albertson Builders (Rockport Harbor Sponsor), Graffam Brothers Harborside Restaurant (Camden Harbor Sponsor), and the Lincolnville Business Group (Lincolnville Beach Sponsor). The media sponsor for the weekend is Bangor Metro, and Santa received assistance during his swing through the area from Cappy’s Chowder House and the Lord Camden Inn.

We’d like to recognize the following members of the Camden Downtown Business Group who stepped forward to contribute toward their organization’s sponsorship of Christmas By the Sea events: Admiral’s Buttons, Allen Insurance and Financial, Bayview Gallery, Camden Bagel Café, Camden Cone, The Camden Harbour Inn, Camden National Bank, Clean Bee Laundry, Cotton Garden, Cuzzy’s, Flint and Gail Decker, Ducktrap Bay Trading Co., Glendarragh Lavender, Jane Alden, Dave Jackson, Jo Ellen Designs, Once a Tree, Planet, Barrie Pribyl, The Camden Riverhouse, Shakelee, Small Wonder Gallery, Smiling Cow, Stonewall Kitchen, Surroundings, and Theo B. Camisole.

We’d also like to recognize the Rockport businesses that hosted Holiday On the Harbor this past Saturday evening and donated their funds to United Mid-Coast Charities toward purchasing the luminaries that will be lighting up the town.

Thank you one and all! We hope you all enjoyed a successful and festive holiday weekend.
