Tee time: Rockland Golf Course opens March 31

By Staff | Mar 30, 2021

Rockland — The Rockland Golf Club will open for the season on Wednesday, March 31 at 8 a.m.

It is an earlier-than-usual opening for the course, which usually opens in early- to mid-April, but has had March openings in the past. A mild winter has led to being able to get an earlier start in 2021.

For now, all 18 holes will be open for walking, said PGA Pro Keenan Flanagan.

Spring greens fees are $28 for nine holes and $50 for 18. No riding carts will be available for a few days depending on the weather, he said.

Tee times, which are recommended, are available by calling 594-9322. Online times will be available starting the middle of April.

The pro shop will open at 8 a.m. as "we are expecting frost the next couple of weeks," Flanagan said.

Center for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for the pandemic will be in place with daily updates.
