On Friday, June 14th, the entire Tall Pines campus gathered for their annual observation of Flag Day.  People from The Commons and The Residence joined with some guests from the greater Belfast community in patriotic observation of the holiday.

As the new flag took its place on the pole at the center of the Tall Pines campus, the older one was respectfully retired by members of the VFW Post #43 Ladies’ Auxiliary of Belfast.

During the ceremony, Madison Hemingway delivered a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

As the ceremonies drew to a close, Matt Griswold, Executive Director of the Tall Pines campus, remarked, “I’m always proud that we celebrate Flag Day.  With the large number of veterans who Tall Pines has served over the years, it feels like a way we can show how much we truly appreciate the ways they’ve served us all.”
