Camden — Camden Public Library will host a presentation by Daniel Bookham on “The Ammassalik Expedition 2019: Adventures on the East Coast of Greenland and the Arctic Ocean,” Thursday, Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m. Bookham cruised the coast of Greenland last summer in a 24-ft boat, scanning the shoreline for Inuit and Norse ruins.

Born, raised, and educated in Britain, Bookham moved to Maine in 1995 and has spent his career in the Pine Tree State, living or working in Bar Harbor, Camden, Belfast, and Rockland. He was the executive director of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce from 2009 to 2012. Bookham currently serves as vice president for business development and as a commercial lines producer at Allen Insurance Agency. He has recently become an American citizen.
